2nd ELEVATOR

An old hanok alleyway and a street

with sensitive tastes

2nd ELEVATOR Playlist (#Jazz #Standard)

Seochon is called the place where time stood still. It's no wonder, as the symbols of Seochon are old hanoks and narrow alleyways that look the same as they did hundreds of years ago.  However, what I love about Seochon is not that time stands still, but that it feels like a place that keeps time. This is evident when you walk through the small hanok alleys next to Tongin Market and take the 2nd elevator to the trendiest spaces ('Edition Denmark', 'One Bookstore', etc.).

Seochon is an old hanok alleyway and now a street of people with the most refined tastes. The music that fills this place is probably jazz. Old but not worn out, unfamiliar but comforting jazz with no Miles Davis and no Chet Baker.
